To me it's not a mistake, but it's somewhat inappropriate. about means "more or less", so "about eleven o'clock" means any time before or after 11. If it's after 11, the bus has left and there's no point in hurrying. It's more appropriate to say, "It's almost eleven o'clock now. Hurry up!" almost 11 means 'nearly 11 but before 11'.
