Abound in

Hi!

What I want to write is this:

The poetry of this genre is in the shortest form(it's form is the shortest among various fixed form verses) and has the biggest number of remaining pieces.

So, if I write: This is shortest in (the) form(or format?) and ( ).

How could I fill in the ( ) here? Here are my options in the ( ).

A. abounds most iin the number of remaining pieces.

B. is most in number of pieces.

C. commands largest population of surviving pieces.

Among A, B, C, what should be the best? And other better options? Appreciate if I could get some feedback on the options and could be advised on the best expression among them.

Hi,

I'd say this.

The poetry of this genre is in the shortest form. There are more pieces extant in this genre than in any other.

Thanks a lot..........

"piece" means as in "pieces of poetry".

For example, "He wrote 27 pieces of poetry".

Hi,

Instead of 'pieces', I suggest 'complete poems and fragments'.

Thanks a lot, Clive.......

Your answer was of great help to me.

I changed like this after your comment.

I feel like you may have something more to add.........

It is the shortest in form. No other fixed verse forms that had appeared throughout history compares with it in the number of surviving pieces.
