a/an

why do you put 'a' in front of the things that are not countable?

for e.g. a service, a smile, a development, etc...

very curious.

cuz you can't see them. (except smile)

development, you can't see it with your eyes. also, words like "pronounciation" cannot be seen, but still put "a."

Hi,

You don't have to be able to see every count-noun. You have to be able to count it in your mind. eg three years, two ideas.

Languages are not Science or Mathematics. Don't waist your time finding for any reason. The best way to learn a language is to follow what the owners of the language speak and write. Every language is what it is!
