0Thanks Mister Micawber. I learnt about this phrase the first time from a commentary on Bonhoeffer's book "Letters and Papers from Prison". Bonhoeffer was a German theologian and he was involved in an assassination attempt to kill Adolf Hilter. I couldn't really understand what the phrase mean but your explanation certainly make sense to me. This makes me think that Bonhoeffer might have use
