A word that means to spill because of hole

Hi, sometimes when we get a crate on our pot, the water spills out of the crate. I wonder how do we say that in spoken English?

Simiarly, sometimes, when we don't close the faucet properly, it spills or sprinkles

Please help me with this.

Oh - did you mean "crack"? If so, then Tanit is quite right - it's leaking.
