Could you please give me a proper word for the following definition (qualification)?

(seemingly) intelligent but not sincere.

I just found one word in Roget's Thesaurus.

What do you think of it? Does it fit the given qualification?

Hi,

Possibly, depending on context.

It has the idea of 'insincere', but more the idea of 'sly' than of 'seemingly intelligent'.
