A wonderful vacation
The following paragraph is written by a beginner. I tried to check it, however, I am not assure that if it is acceptable. Please help me correct it.
Most of children love the Chinese New Year. It's a festival that families can contact each other ande get together to have fun. On New Year's Eve, my parents gave us red envelopes. The event made children excited. My family always take a trip during Chinese New Year. All in all, I usually get a wonderful vacation in Chinese New Year.

[= no need for the "of"]
["and" has no "e" at the end]
- It's a festival when families can contact each other..
[= use "when" instead of "that"]
.. but it's a good piece and I liked it ..
