"a whole set of processes RANGING from.."

Can I actually say "the whole set of processes ranging from product developing,,, all the way to delivering are guarded under the most stringent scrutiny"? To me ranging from seems like a conjunction used for numbers, here "include" seems more appropriate? But I want to emphasize on the WHOLE set of the processes, which one should be more correct in this case?So baffled.THanks!

Thank you teechr, you are of so much help!
But would it make a difference if I singularized "controls"?
