A warm wind, warm winds

Hello!

In what way is "a warm wind" different from "warm winds"?

Thanks

Other than the obvious (singular vs. plural), I'm not sure what information you want. We have been experiencing warm winds recently, making me think of Hawai'i.

Hi, Philip!

Thank you very much for your reply.

A. We have been experiencing warm winds recently, making me think of Hawaii.

B. As we relaxed on the beach, a warm wind came up, indicating a possible rain shower.

I would like to ask why in A the plural form was used, and in B the singular form.

Thanks

One occasion vs. more than one occasion. I guess it's actually a case of pluralizing the incident rather than the wind, itself. I think the plural is also used by weather-guessers who are talking about more than one location at the same time.

I really believe that "A" is the one because we are talking about A or B so we can compare that the more specific is B and the broad is A..if I am not mistaken..
