A verb required with 'eye'

Hi

Could you please help me here with a suitable word.

A speck of dust or an eyelash hair in the eye gives a _______________ feeling on blinking.

Are the underlined verbs OK? Any other suggestions? [These are literal translations from my language. Sorry!]

My eye is pinching on blinking. I think I have got a hair in it.

My eye is stabbing on blinking. I think I have got a hair in it.

Thanks,

Tom
