A unnatural text

Such word and phrase are important because they tell you what kind of major supporting details you need to look for. In other words, each time you locate a different form, another style, or an additional similarity, you have also found a major detail.

I think the underlined clause should be altered to have more natural connection with the former clause, for instance as the following:
It indicates that you have also found a major detail.
I'd like to know what you think about this.

That's not necessary. The grammatical pattern here is just a less formal way of expressing a definitional if-then relationship.
