A Tripute to My Uncle

Will you please correct the following. Thank you.

“Do you know why you fall down sometimes,” uncle asked me once. I blinked and kept mum for a while. For at the time I had failed in my graduation examination and thought uncle would have smelled it somehow. “You fall down just to get on to your feet again,” uncle said without looking at my face and laughed a clinking laughter. That was uncle’s trick as the next year saw me passing thorough my examinations with flying colors. Could I say that uncle was my friend, philosopher and guide? No, because the clichéd idiom, I’m afraid, would not fully explain the bond and affinity I had with my uncle. Could I say then that he was my guiding star? No again. For stars appear only during nights unlike uncle who had been lighting on me ever and molding me in right shape.
