A trash can on fire

Please help me to correct some grammatical mistakes, thank you!
One month ago, I and my friends visited a scenic spot. Suddenly, I found the trash can on fire! We pour our water into the trash can and opened it and saw a cigarette. Maybe someone threw the lit cigarette into the trash can. Well, I hope that won’t happen again!

This isn't ungrammatical, but it's far more common to see "my friends and I" than "I and my friends." It's just a style thing, but it will strike many readers as unusual if you list yourself first.
