a traceability system in place

Up to today, the FDA has no idea about the source of the salmonella contamination. The reason for the delay in tracing the source is that the department doesn't have a traceability system in place, unlike the European Union which traces every single produce from farm to the table at a restaurant.

Are there any mistakes?
Thanks.
