A Tombstone Engraving (non-alphabetical)

If in a story, two people are buried together, is it OK to put the man's name before the woman's on the tombstone, even if the woman's name begins with a letter that comes before the man's first name's initial does in the alphabet if it sounds better to the writer that the male name come first, given the specific names in question? For example: JOHN AND CATHY or ZACK AND JAYNE.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes.
(In my culture, two people do not normally share one grave and one tombstone.)

Oh, I know. I was just asking if it would be okay to be non-alphabetical about it if it were to happen within the narrative of a fictional story.

Hi,

Sure. It's a tombstone, not a telephone directory.
There are no rules abut such things.
