A thousand times over

Could you tell me what "Your pain will be paid for a thousand times over" means? Does it mean, "Your pain will be paid more than one thousand times," or "Your pain will be paid for more than one thousand times pain (of yours)?"

lucas21c "Your pain will be paid for a thousand times over" It probably is in the context of physical therapy. People who go through physical therapy have to endure some pain. But you will end up in a much much better (1000 times better) condition than if you hadn't gone through the painful rehabilitation.

Actually, it's not. I extracted it from dialogue of Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1. I found the whole script of the episode and linked it below. If you want, you could check the context related to my question. Thank you in advance.

CalifJimThis information should have been included in your first post.
!!!!!!

That would have saved some of my brain cells reaching for a contextual meaning of this rather common phrase.
