Grammar

A / the

A: I am looking for something green.
B: there is A/The green bag.

The green bag has been around in the house for a while, and both A and B know it well. In this case when A is looking for anything green and you are simply telling A of the names of objects, which one is correct to use, the article "a" or "the"?

Thank you
