A "that" after "and"

Hello, everyone:

May I ask if there is any significant difference in the sentences below? Thank you!

Mary tells her mother (that) she won't come for dinner and (she) goes shopping with her friends.

Mary tells her mother (that) she won't come for dinner and that (she) goes shopping with her friends.
