Beyond the fringes of the West Beverly party, a tax bracket, a 'tude, and a dream session away, Brandon found them. But they weren't surfing. They were sharing a tall brown bottle. Betty found everything Brandon said to be hilarious, but whatever was in the bottle just made Duane and Eric surly.

I was reading again a Beverly Hills 90210 novel from a long time ago, and came upon the above phrases. Anyone know what they mean?

I could figure a 'tude (attitude) is a fight, and that a dream session is, what, something that has got to do with an instrument being played to make people intrigued?

Any help would be appreciated.

1. I think "tude" here means something like a little arrogant attitude. 2. A dream session in this context I believe means the "perfect" wave/s i.e. the perfect surf session.

'... a tax bracket ... away ... ' This refers to another place where the income level is very different from the income level of the people who live here.
