A tall cool glass 'drink' of water

0 A tall cool glass or drink of water, I've recently had someone ask me what this meant. This is a Southern expression so unless you're one of us Hillbillies or have some country cousins you probably would have some difficulty with it. Since I happen to be one I would be more than happy to explain our idiom's to those that would like to know. I've only heard it used towards men, but I suppose it could be used for a woman. It refers to a tall, refreshing, thirst quenching type of attractiveness, much like a sweaty ice cold glass of water on the hottest day of the year is attractive. It in no way refers to the glass or whats really in it. It depicts something, usually a man, able to quench a thirst for a peak that has since been unattainable, ie.... you want that person. Women I've heard refered to as "Hotter than a two dollar Pistol", meaning that the pistol is stolen/hot. I hope this helps. 0-

0 In Seattle, quite a distance from Hillbilly country, we use the term "long drink of water", to refer to height only. I've never heard the other descriptions to refer to other physical attributes, but they certainly are interesting. 0-
