Hi all

The patient's life was saved. I reached the airport in the very nick of time and made my flight.

The patient's life was saved. I reached the airport quickly and made my flight.

In the nick of time, governments released reserves in order to start cash circulating again.

Governments released reserves quickly in order to start cash circulating again.

"in the nick of time and quickly"

Are they synonymies or not?
