A survey on Postimperial Mentality (British Empire)

Hello,
We are a small group of students from Eastern Europe, who are doing a short presentation on 'Postimperial Mentality' among British/Commonwealth societies. It's extremly hard to find some sources on that topic. Would you be kind to help us and answer few questions with just "Yes/No" or short explanation ?

1. Are you proud of British Empire existence in history? Yes/No
2. Do you think that there are some special national characteristics,
which have their roots in Empire history? Yes/No ; list these features if possible.
3. Do you think that there are differences in youth and old generation perspective on culture/patriotism? Yes/No and precise if possible
4. Do they teach/promote at schools a lot/enough patriotic attitudes? pick an answer or write 'No'
5a) Do they teach at schools a lot of British Emipre history? Yes/No

5b) Is it superficial, decent or detailed?
6. During history classes, do you feel that a discussion on British Empire
is gloryfying the Empire/ is objective or is a criticism? pick an answer
7. Do the old generation refer somehow to Empire on daily basis (for example in jokes) ?
8a). Are Britons conceited?

8b) Are Britons patronising to other nations (in a sense "we know better") ?
9. Does an average Briton think that his nation is better than other?
10. Is the Queen an old relic or a person the country/Commonwealth needs?
11. Does the Queen have much influence on worlds arena?
12. Do you agree that the Duchess from commoners is positive or it reconciles the tradition?

13. What is a symbol of Empire for you?

14. Do you think that Empire was something special/unusual/to be proud of/ to be shamed of/ just an episode ?

DOCTOR WHO:
12.Do you think that Doctor Who tv series somehow refers to the Empire history/tradition? How?

We would be thankful for all the answers and your new ideas if you come up with some. We would like to focus or nations' habits and characteristics which could be an effect of Empire influance. Any ideas are welcome.
Kind regards

Hi, I feel you are asking me to do too much work. And, as a British person, I feel some of these questions are a little too personal. British people do not, in my opinion, like to discuss their personal feelings about their country in public.
