A student's sentences

Hello,

I wonder how you would correct these sentences, they are written by a student.

In the evening I do my lessons.

My favourite animal is rabbit.

I have a pet it is a cat and a dog.

My mother's name is Ann, my father's name is Ben and my grandmother's name is Monica.

Is it possible not to repeat 'my'so often and use 'one' instead?

2. It should be either, "My favorite animal is the rabbit." That would be used if he is talking about his favorite animal in the animal kingdom. If he is talking about his favorite particular animal, he would say either, "My favorite animal is a rabbit," (this could be a rabbit that frequently comes into his yard) or, "My favorite animal is my rabbit," or, if someone else owned it, "My favorite animal is my sister's rabbit."

3. Doesn't make any sense because a single animal cannot be both a cat and a dog. So, it should be either, "I have a pet cat." or, "I have a pet dog." or, "I have two pets, a cat and a dog." The way it is written (disregarding the cat and dog problem) it would be two sentences. I have a pet. It is a cat.

4. the way it is written, you need a comma after Ben. But, to have less "mys" in the sentence, try:

My parents' names are Ann and Ben, and my Grandmother's name is Monica.

Because these are clear gender associated names, you could get by with saying it the latter way. But, if their names could be used for either gender, that wouldn't be clear to the reader, as in, "My Parents names are Pat and Bobbie," because, at least in parts of the U.S., Bobbie could be either a girl or boy (although the spelling Bobby is more common for boys), and Pat can be a shortened form of Patrick or Patricia.
