A stroytelling competition

Please help me to correct them, thanks.

(a) Last Tuesday, it was sunny. Peter's class teacher announced a storytelling competition that was held in his school.During the schoolday, he went to library to borrow some books for reference.

(b) Last Tuesday, it was sunny.There was a storytelling competition held in Peter's school. He took part in this competition. In the afternoon, he went to the library and chose some storybooks for reference.

(c) After that, he went home happily. He started to read and memorise the story for two hours. He practised (himself) in front of the mirror every night. He could talk fluently and attractively in his marvellous tone.

(d) On that day, he went to school early. He looked very confident in front of the audience when he started his presentation. He talked / presented very well and the audience clapped after finishing. At the end, he won the first prize.
