A streak of light was...

Hi

I am sure I have asked this question before somewhere...

Is this sentence natural? Any suggestions are welcome.

A streak of light was coming from under the closed door of the kitchen.

(the lights of the kitchen are on, while the lounge where the kitchen door opens is dark -- so the light is coming from under the closed door of the kitchen into the lounge )

Thanks,

Tom
