____ Once there was a cottager. He had a strange hen. She laid a golden egg daily, and he sold it at a high price which made him very rich. He was not satisfied with a single egg because humans are never satisfied and their longings have no endings. His greed and avarice increased day by day. So, he began to dream of becoming a millionaire over night and wanted to fulfil his desire.
____He thought the hen must contained a great lump of golden eggs inside her. Thinking so, he slaughtered the hen with a sharp knife and cut her open. Having done so, he did not get even a single golden egg inside her at all. He lost not only the golden eggs but also the strange hen. The plans of the future and hopes of the cottager dashed to the ground. He lamented and wailed for the dead hen but it was too late.
Moral: greed is curse.
