Hi CalifJim,

Thanks again for your help here. I think I should stick to more commonly used versions. Normally in request, which is more common?

1. Please read me a bedtime story or Please read me bedtime stories.
2. I want to listen to a bedtime story or I want to listen bedtime stories.

Thanks

tinanam0102 Normally in a request ...
At that age:

Story! Story! Story!

Or:

Bedtime story!

Or:

Story time!

Only an adult would say Please read me a bedtime story, but then we don't normally read bedtime stories to adults, so there is something strange about the question!

Hi CalifJim,

Thanks again for help. Now I can see it's really strange. But English textbooks teach our kids to speak that way.
