A space?

Does "space" in this context means something like importance?

The study found that people were planning - really far off in their predictions. They were planning to go to the gym four times a week but they're actually going only one time a week.

So what this shows is that there is a large gap between intentions and actions. So there is space to raise awareness about self-control. what we are doing is to investigate how can information about self-control make people make different decisions.

Top answer

This space is the the gap from the previous sentence. The awareness people have about their own self control is small, and the space is between that small amount of awareness and full awareness.

After auxiliary do (do, does, did) you must use the plain form of the verb.

I would not say 'importance'. I would say 'good reason'.

There is good reason to raise awareness about self-control.
