Is there an idiom/phrase which means like "overstating/exaggerating a small flaw in the bigger picture"? If not, can I just write "overstating/exaggerating a small flaw in the bigger picture"?
For example, Indeed, urban sprawl will cause environmental problems. However, if one rejects urbanization just because of this reason, it will be [insert idiom here] and ignoring the tremendous amount of positive effects that urbanization yields.
