We then took our shoes off and sat at the edge of the lake, dangling our feet in the water and began shaking them. Later, we increased our speed and started to kick them faster and faster like an engine. The lake was no longer serene and there were bubbles all over it. Looking at this scene, Kate was laughing and screaming at the same time: “ Come on, auntie! Faster! Faster! We kept on kicking our feet in the water regardless of/ignoring of being get wet/getting wet. We were too engrossed in playing this game, but suddenly, I heard a noise. I thought somebody said “Hey!”. I stood still and listened. When Kate saw me standing still, she also stopped playing and became/turned quiet.
