Fine / Not bad. It's been a little bit windy all day.

For some reason "breeze's" looks slightly odd to me. I'm not sure why. I would write "breeze has". Apart from that quibble, what you have written is correct English. However, it seems to me more like part of a written description. In a real-life conversation I would probably say something simpler such as "Not bad ... there's (been) a slight breeze though".

I'm grateful, Clive!

One more question:

How do you find this sentence as an opening of a short story? Still unnatural?

A slight breeze had been blowing all day.

Thanks,

Tom

A slight breeze had been blowing all day.
In that context it's fine.

Many thanks to both of you again.

Sorry, Mr. Wordy, I didn't see you there. (You had already answered my second question.)

No worries, I crossed with Clive too ... I hadn't seen his reply when I posted mine.
