A simple Question

Hi,

Would you say

"Let's cross the road here"

Or

"Let's cross the road from here"

Are both grammatically correct? If not, which one is correct.

Thanks

Thanks a lot,

I suppose you are an expert in this kind of stuff? Because there is a German lady who is adamant that the second sentence is not grammatically correct.

Yes, Clive is an English expert and German ladies generally are not.

(Except I'd say the former sentence is more common!)
