Is anything wrong with the following phrase? No And by the way is it a phrase Yes or just a group of words? See below

In this wise...

It means 'in this manner'. eg

He got down on his stomach and pulled himself along by his hands. In this wise, he was able to get under the fence.

It's an archaic way of saying "In this manner"

It's the same "wise" as the one in "clockwise". (Likewise, "stepwise".)
