A sigh of contentment

Hi,

Can you read this sentence and tell me why the author used " a sigh of contentment"?

He sat back with a sigh of contentment, thoroughly enjoying the warmth of the crackling fire upon the hearth.

I think people sigh when they are worried, or anxious, or sad. Have you ever heard people sigh when they are happy or content?

Thank you.
