A short story

Hi

Is this dialogue natural English? Any suggestions are welcome.

A - So how would you define a short story?

B- Well, defining is unwieldy, but to me, a short story is something that can be finished in one sitting. It does not have a proper structure and other details like a novel and sometimes a lot is left to the understanding of the reader.

A - That means?

B- I mean because it is a short story, the details are fairly restricted in most cases and the reader is expected to speculate more.

Thanks,

Tom
