A Short Story

I am doing my homework, which is to analyse the short story, and I have a question. I would like to know, if there is any special term for a work of fiction, which does not have protogonist or antogonist. I mean from my impressions, the story is based on the interaction of the enviroment, between heroes of the story, rather than description of their inner world or emtions. Thus, wanted to ask if there is any special term for such type of fiction.

Thnx in advance Emotion: smile

Sorry, what I was saying is that there is no such fictional genre - every story that I have ever read has characters. Usually there are one or two well-developed main characters, and several minor characters. These characters can be animals, gods, or other non-humans, but they are still called protagonists and antagonists. There is no word for a genre of nonfiction lacks any actors or characters.
