Last year I was slow dancing with an old friend to some dreadful tune at her gaff, having put away a shed-load of drink, and we found ourselves having a bit of a tonsil tease.

Could you tell me what 'a shed-load of' and 'tonsil tease' are?

I'm guessing that "tonsil tease" refers to the act of putting one's tongue in another person's mouth and rubbing it against their tonsils/throat (when kissing).
