A Sharing on Five Techniques on Creating Ability through Studying

If you do not know the techniques of studying, you will improve the least for spending the most time studying. If you are capable of the techniques of studying, you will improve yourself the most even you do not spending the most time studying. The techniques of studying decide your efficiency of creating ability.

First, try to focus on only about two aspects of knowledge at the same time, rather than many aspects of knowledge. Remember the old saying “Jack of all trades, master of none”. We usually have no more than 5 hours above and beyond time spending on working or studying and sleeping and everyday tasks. The only result of focusing on many aspects of knowledge at the same time is that we can now really master anyone of them, not even talking about applying them in our everyday life.

Second, insist on learning them. Do not change to another aspect of knowledge before you really master them. It goes without saying that the result of keeping changing the aspect of knowledge we learn is ending up getting nothing.

Third, thinking and trying are actually a great part of studying, but many of us always neglect the process of thinking. For example, when you find some very incredible ideas from a book, you need to think whether those ideas are suitable for you, why the author would jump into this conclusion, how to revise it into the way that is suitable for you to apply. After making conclusion, you need to apply the knowledge in your everyday life to try its effectiveness and reliability.

Fourth, after making sure that the knowledge is suitable for you to apply in everyday life. You need a system to supervise the process of applying new knowledge. If you do not have a system of supervising the process, you will easily forget your plans. Therefore, your action will not last long. My suggestion is that we should prepare a file, and write all our plans on the paper in the file and then check the advancement of our plans every night.

Last but not least, try to share your ideas with others. It certainly will benefit you a lot. You will get new ideas from other people’s feedback. You will know a lot of friends with a lot of information. Birds of a feather flock together. People with a lot of information will always gather together.

At the end, let me recap the process of studying again. First we need to decide about two things to learn. Second, insist on learning them until you can master them. Third, think and try the knowledge you have learnt. Fourth, build up a system to supervise your undertaking of new knowledge. Last share your experiences with your friends.
