A sentence, very interesting but so hard to catch!

The sentence goes: Around the globe, we will spend the rest of our lives finding things to say to people we will never meet in person.
----

My question is : Why shall we spend the rest of our lives ONLY finding things to say..., we need to work, to study, to learn..., so we can not stay with the computer chatting for the rest of our lives?

Thank you very much in advance!

The original sentence does not include 'only', so it does not mean 'only'-- we will continue to eat, work and sleep as well. You must use your common sense.
