A Sentence A day

I want to improve my English grammatically. I make a sentence a day, and I hope anyone can correct it as if there are any errors. Also, you can place your own sentences here too.

And for today...
A man should not be sentenced to death before any evidence would have been found.

" However, the discovery of "any evidence" seems a kind of vague reason for sentencing someone to death. I also think "unless" might be a better word here than "before". " If I had written this, I would wonder if, in context, it implied that a man can be given a less severe punishment even when there isn't compelling evidence against him, and, if so, whether that's actually what I meant.

It should be:

"A man should not be sentenced to death before any evidence has been found."

However, the discovery of "any evidence" seems a kind of vague reason for sentencing someone to death. I also think "unless" might be a better word here than "before". So, how about:

"A man should not be sentenced to death unless there is compelling evidence against him."
