A school's mission statement...

Dear Grammarians,

Is this mission statement grammatically correct?  It is the new mission statement for a private school in my area.

"Inspiring students to risk becoming their best"

I can't put my finger on it, but something sounds wrong with the structure...

What do you think?

I am asking specifically about the grammatical construction of the clause. Risk may be a suitable word in this situation. But I do not wish to debate that. I am interested in the grammar only. Does anyone have knowledge about the grammar? Thank you!!

Hi,

The grammar is not wrong.

My concerns lie in areas you are not interested in.

We all know a lot of grammar here. A few of us you can barely understand, we know so much grammar. We also know a lot of words. The word "risk" is nonsense there, and nonsense kills grammar the way rock breaks scissors.
