How to count “salad"? In a restaurant, if you and your friend each want a salad, you order two salads.

Is salad a general noun? You mean a non-count noun? ys, it can be used that way, too. eg I like salad.

How to count “snack"? Think of a snack as aa very small meal. eg Yesterday, I had a snack in the morning, and another in the afternoon. So I had two snacks yesterday.

Q3:

I have seen that before on a menu if you consumer morn than $10, you get a piece of snack.

Why does it use “a piece of snack” here? Maybe it’s wrong.
