A right or wrong answer?

Hi. Let's say you have a multiple choice question wherein there are five answers, a to e, and "b" is the answer. And if a student gives the answer "c," can the teacher say this?

"You gave a wrong answer." Or "That's a wrong answer."

If either or both of them are correct, would it be that we can use "the right or the wrong answer" with definite article before the word "right" or "wrong" if there are two answers, one being right and the other being wrong"? Thank you in advance for your help.
