A Riddle!

There were two girls sitting down at a table. Her mother stood by pouring them drinks, the first sister managed to drink 6 glasses of iced coffee in the same amount of time it took the second sister to drink one, the second sister died... the drinks were poisoned, how did the first sister manage to survive?
