A reduction in running cost

Is it okay to say, "This air conditioner operates efficiently with a 30% reduction in running cost compared with conventional air conditioners."?

I am not sure if the underlined part is English.

I find the use of both efficiently and the underlined part awkward. Leave out efficiently and you have a pretty good sentence. running simply repeats what is already present in the verb operates , so it, too, should probably be omitted.
