A record amount exceeding 100...

"South Korean retail investors continued to be net buyers of local and overseas stocks this year, and in fact they bought a record amount exceeding 100 trillion won worth."


Is it possible that "exceeding 100 trillion won worth" modifies "amount" that way, like " The boy holding a book is..."?
