A receipt

Hi.
When you are in a bank branch and you deposit/withdraw money...you ask the teller once your business is done:
Can I get a receipt as well?
Is the "a" fine there (instead of "the")? It's "any receipt".
Thank you.

a receipt is fine. [ In banks, I always receive a receipt without having to ask. ] the receipt sounds like eg the teller printed a receipt and has simply forgotten to give it to you.
