Letter Writing

A quick question regarding my motivational letter

I happenned to be writing a motivational letter to apply in UK and i came up with this minor problem. I still haven't finished my gymnasium here, but I want to study there next year, and as far as I understand, I have to get my papers and write all the letters earlier than I will actually finish it. Should I write "I have just finished my gymnasium in there and there, blah blah", or "I am about to finish it tarararam", or is there any other magic way to solve this?
