A question for Rover

Rover, you are the expert on this subject, and with your credentials as a retired English teacher in England, I'm hoping you could settle these for me. Would you punctuate the following as I've done, too? I've also omitted the serial comma in each.

Strictly per BRITISH STYLE, are all the commas in their correct positions, ie outside the quote marks mid-sentence?

1. The signs 'Beware of Dog', 'Swim At Your Own Risk' and 'Violators Will Be Towed At Their Own Expense' were conspicuously posted throughout the village.

2. The sentences 'It is what it is', 'Be careful what you wish for' and 'That's the way I like it' were omitted from the passage.

3. The adages 'Discretion is the better part of valor', 'A stitch in time saves nine', 'Waste not want not' and 'Familiarity breeds contempt' are among my favorites.

thank you very much
