Usually, customer is used to describe someone who goes into a shop and buys something, then leaves the shop. Client is usually used where there is a business relationship between the person/company providing the service and the person/company paying for it. g if a solicitor was acting on behalf of someone, then that someone would be a client of the solicitor.

  • Usually, customer is used to describe someone who goes into a shop and buys something, then leaves the shop.
  • Client is usually used where there is a business relationship between the person/company providing the service and the person/company paying for it.
  • g if a solicitor was acting on behalf of someone, then that someone would be a client of the solicitor.
  • So, "Today the shop is crowded with customers" is probably correct in this case because you are talking about a shop.
